There are proposals for a $1 increase on the price of each pack of cigarettes and can of moist snuff. This would more than double the tax on a pack of cigarettes and increase the tax on a can of moist snuff by 526 percent.
Make your voice heard. Legislators need to hear that you are opposed to these taxes. Tobacco products are already unfairly taxed compared to other consumer goods.
Adult tobacco consumers have been demonized enough and don’t deserve to keep being punished.
Tell your legislators that they should vote “NO” on the proposed cigarette and moist snuff tax increases. Let them know that you make the informed decision to use a legal product and shouldn’t be penalized because of your choices.
