Connecticut lawmakers have a big spending problem and they are trying to use your money to fix it.

This would make Connecticut’s cigarette tax rate the highest in the country.
Make your voice heard. Legislators need to hear that you oppose to this tax. Cigarettes are already unfairly taxed compared to other consumer goods. Connecticut’s 2011 cigarette tax hike sent 2 million pack sales across the border to Rhode Island.
Legislators need to stop trying to fill budget holes by unreasonably taxing hard-working adult consumers of a legal product.
Tell your legislators that they should vote “NO” on the proposed cigarette tax increase. Let them know that you make the informed decision to use a legal product and shouldn’t be penalized because of your choices.
